Svingen was built in 1938 and was once a shoe factory in the early 1940's, it was then converted to a guesthouse for a period in the 1980s. The last guest to stay was around 1987. After many years as a family home we purchased the house and reopened it as a unique, informal and friendly guesthouse.

The house is full of period and antique furniture, many pieces are in the mid century modern style.  We also have some leftovers from its time as a shoe factory. 

Svingen meaning "the bend or turn". We assume the house was named so as its situated on a bend in the road... 🤷🏼
