Here are some of our most frequently asked questions.

Q - Should I book direct?

A - YES! Booking directly with a property cuts out the middle man, saving you and the property money. Our direct rates are always 5% cheaper than you will find anywhere else. Plus, if you book direct, you will be at the top of the list for any upgrades if any are available when you check in. 

Q -Where can I park?

A - We do not have any parking at Svingen. You can stop by and drop off your luggage, we will direct you to the closest carpark 150m away. We recommend using the EasyPark app while in Flåm. 

Q - What are the check-in and check-out times? 

A - Check-in is from 3PM - 7PM. If you will arrive after 7PM, please message us to organise a late check in. Check-out is by 11:30AM. We do not offer a late check out option.

Q - Can I store my luggage? 

A - Absolutely! and its free. We will happily keep your luggage if you arrive before check-in or after check-out time. If you would like to store something for multiple days, please reach out to request this. 

Q - Where can I park my Bicycle? 

A - We have a bike rack in front of the main enterance. If you would like more peace of mind for a particularly expensive set of wheels, we may be able to arange storage inside the house.

Q - Is there a kitchen? Can I cook? 

A - We have a full kitchen with all the equipment you could need. You are more than welcome to cook up a storm in the house as long as you clean up after yourself. We even have a dishwasher! 

Q - WiFi?

A - Of-course, we have good fibre wifi available free of charge throught the whole house.

Q - Do you offer breakfast or dinner?

A - We do not offer any food here at Svingen. There are great food options in Flåm and the surrounding areas.

Q - Do you accept children? 

A - No. For many reasons it's not possible for us to accommodate anyone under the age of 13.

Q - Do you have a lift/elevator?

A - No. We do not have an elevator. The house is over 3 floors. Guest bedrooms are on the top and bottom floors. The middle floor of the house is the social areas, shared kitchen, lounges and front balcony. We can work together with you to carry your baggage up and down the stairs. If your baggage is particularly heavy, we can store it on the lowest floor. 

Q - Can I cancel my reservation?

A - All reservations are Non-Refundable. You may be able to reschedule your reservation dates depending on availability for the same or higher overall cost. You will only be charged the price difference between your old and new reservation dates, we do not charge an amendment fee. it is your responsibility to verify that the arrival/departure dates and all other crucial reservation information is correct before placing the reservation and payment.
